Uses:As an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, it competitively inhibits alpha-glucosidase on the small intestinal brush border, delaying the digestion and absorption of starch and sucrose, thereby reducing postprandial blood glucose peaks. It is suitable for patients with type 2 diabetes whose blood glucose is not well controlled after diet and exercise.
