Soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol and most oils; slightly soluble in water. Main components are volatile substances such as cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid. Relative density approximately 1.02-1.05, refractive index approximately 1.570-1.590.
Uses:Mainly used as a food flavor and seasoning agent to enhance flavor in beverages, candies, baked goods and meat products. Also used as a raw material in daily chemical fragrances, cosmetics and pharmaceutical preparations.
