Physical Properties:White or light yellow flakes or powder with a slight fatty odor. Melting point approximately 55-65°C, relative density about 1.02-1.05. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. Good thermal stability, low volatility, and excellent internal and external lubrication.
Uses:Mainly used as a lubricant, mold release agent and dispersant in extrusion and injection molding of engineering plastics such as PC, thermoplastic polyesters (PET/PBT), PA, PPO and PPS, improving melt flow, preventing mold sticking and enhancing surface finish. Also applied as a processing aid for PVC, ABS, PE, PP and other polymers, and as a dispersing/lubricating additive in rubber masterbatch and calcium-zinc stabilizer formulations.
