Physical Properties:White to light yellow fine powder, soluble in water; 10% aqueous solution is clear or light yellow clear solution. It has good water absorption and water retention, and the solution has certain viscosity which increases with molecular weight. Solid powder is stable for three years under dry conditions at room temperature; liquid is relatively stable at room temperature and neutral pH, but partially hydrolyzes under acidic or high-temperature conditions. Sulfur content is 10%-20%, typically about 17%.
Uses:Used in the treatment of peptic ulcer, lowering blood lipids and preventing atherosclerosis, anticoagulation and antiviral research.
