Physical Properties:White lump or fibrous solid, odorless and tasteless. Insoluble in water, ethanol and diethyl ether; soluble in glacial acetic acid, chloroform, dichloromethane and other organic solvents. Softening point about 300 °C, decomposes above 300 °C, density about 1.3 g/cm³.
Uses:Used for manufacturing textile fibers, photographic films, and motion picture films, as well as medical hemodialysis membranes and blood filtration membranes.
