Melting point is approximately 49.2°C, boiling point is 187–190°C at 0.2 mmHg, relative density is about 1.32, and vapor pressure is extremely low (approximately 2.7×10⁻⁷ Pa at 20°C). It is practically insoluble in water (about 0.004 mg/L), but readily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, dichloromethane, and ethyl acetate. It is stable to light and in acidic media, but decomposes in alkaline conditions.
Uses:Lambda-cyhalothrin is a broad-spectrum, highly effective pyrethroid insecticide with contact and stomach poisoning actions as well as a certain repellent effect, and has a long residual period. It is used to control a wide range of pests on cotton, fruit trees, vegetables, tea plants, and tobacco, including cotton bollworm, aphids, imported cabbageworm, diamondback moth, tea looper, and leaf miner, and is also effective against sanitary pests such as termites and cockroaches.
