Physical Properties:ABS is an opaque ivory-colored pellet with no toxicity and no odor, low water absorption, and can be colored; its products exhibit a high gloss of 90%. Relative density is approximately 1.05 g/cm³. Oxygen index is 18.2, making it a flammable polymer; when burning, the flame is yellow with black smoke, it chars but does not drip, and emits a characteristic cinnamon odor. It is an amorphous polymer with no obvious melting point; the melt viscosity is high and fluidity is poor, sensitive to shear rate, with processing temperatures around 190–240°C. Heat distortion temperature is 70–107°C (about 85°C), and can be increased by about 10°C after annealing. It still retains toughness at -40°C and can be used long-term in the range of -40°C to 85°C. It has good electrical insulation, almost unaffected by temperature, humidity, and frequency. It has good chemical resistance, insoluble in alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons, soluble in ketones, esters, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
