Physical Properties:FLEX NORYL™ PPO LS175 flame-retardant grade is a PPO/PPE-based thermoplastic engineering resin with flexibility, low-smoke characteristics and excellent flame retardancy. Glass transition temperature is 211 °C; HDT can reach 120–190 °C depending on grade; long-term service temperature range is -40 °C to 150 °C. Electrical insulation is excellent: dielectric constant 2.5–3.0 (1 MHz), dissipation factor 0.001–0.004, volume resistivity >1×10^16 Ω·cm. Water absorption is <0.1%, giving good dimensional stability. Flame retardancy meets UL 94 V-0 at 0.75 mm, with some grades reaching 5VA. It resists acids, alkalis, alcohols and oils but not aromatic solvents; mechanical strength is high, with neat PPO tensile strength about 75 MPa and glass-fiber-reinforced versions exceeding 150 MPa with flexural modulus up to 15 GPa.
Uses:Used in electronics, electrical, automotive, medical, aerospace and other fields, typical parts include connectors, relays, 5G base-station filters, server backplanes, automotive instrument-panel frames, sensor housings, charging-gun inserts, surgical instruments, infusion-device housings, etc. The FLEX NORYL™ PPO LS175 flame-retardant grade is particularly suitable for thin-wall injection-molded electronic parts, cables/wire harnesses, and components requiring heat resistance, flame retardancy and low smoke.
