Physical Properties:White or off-white powder, soft with a greasy feel. Mohs hardness 1–1.5, perfect {001} cleavage, easily splits into thin flakes. High melting point, chemically inactive, good hiding power, strong adsorption, and good luster. Natural angle of repose 35°–40°, pH 7–9, high whiteness, uniform particle size, density approximately 2.7–2.8 g/cm³.
Uses:Used as a reinforcing and modifying filler in rubber, plastics, paints and other chemical industries, enhancing dimensional stability, tensile strength, shear strength, flexural strength and compressive strength while reducing deformation and thermal expansion coefficient. Used in the manufacture of high-frequency ceramics, radio ceramics, industrial ceramics, architectural ceramics, daily-use ceramics and ceramic glazes. In cosmetics it serves as a high-quality filler; its silicon content blocks infrared rays, improving sunscreen and anti-infrared performance. In pharmaceutical and food industries it is used as a non-toxic, odorless additive, and in papermaking it improves paper smoothness, fineness and service life.
