Physical Properties:Polytetrafluoroethylene is a polymer compound with a density of about 2.1-2.3 g/cm³, a melting point of about 327°C, and a decomposition temperature of about 400°C. It has excellent high and low temperature resistance (-200~260°C), outstanding chemical resistance (insoluble in all solvents, resistant to strong acids and bases), very low coefficient of friction, and excellent electrical insulation.
Uses:It is mainly used to manufacture corrosion-resistant seals, pipes, valves, pump bodies and other chemical equipment components. It is also used as electrical insulation material, anti-stick coating (e.g., non-stick cookware), and high-frequency cable insulation. It finds wide applications in electronics, chemical, mechanical and other fields.
