Physical Properties:Semi-crystalline to crystalline thermoplastic material with properties similar to Nylon 11; density 1.19 g/cm³, water absorption 0.2%, good flowability, mold shrinkage 0.5%-2%, melting point about 178°C; excellent electrical insulation (unaffected by moisture), impact resistance and chemical stability, but not resistant to strongly oxidizing acids; modified with PTFE, offering oil and gasoline resistance, Rockwell hardness 109.
Uses:Used in water meters and other commercial equipment, cable sheathing, mechanical cams, sliding mechanisms and bearings. Owing to its oil/gasoline resistance and PTFE self-lubricating properties, it is also suitable for automotive fuel system components, seals, gears and other oil-resistant wear parts.
