Physical Properties:Milky white, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, waxy particles with a matte surface. It has good softness, extensibility, electrical insulation, transparency, easy processability, and certain air permeability. Its chemical stability is good, resistant to alkalis and general organic solvents. It is resistant to cold and low temperatures; thicker films can withstand sterilization by immersion in 90°C hot water. It has good moisture resistance and is insoluble in common solvents. Its oil resistance is poor, and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light and heat can cause aging. Melting point is 110~115°C, processing temperature is 150~210°C, stable up to 300°C in inert gas, but the melt is prone to degradation when in contact with oxygen.
Uses:Mainly used for food packaging such as seasonings, pastries, candies, preserved fruits, biscuits, milk powder, tea, and dried fish floss; also used for pharmaceutical packaging, fiber product packaging, and daily chemical product packaging. Due to the poor mechanical properties of single-layer film, it is usually used as the inner heat-seal substrate of composite packaging bags.
