Physical Properties:PA12 is a semi-crystalline to crystalline thermoplastic material with characteristics similar to PA11 but a different crystal structure. It has a density of about 1.01 g/cm³ and a melting point of approximately 178°C. It is an excellent electrical insulator and, like other polyamides, its insulating properties are not affected by moisture. It offers good impact resistance and chemical stability. Compared with PA6 and PA66, PA12 has lower melting point and density, along with low water absorption and good dimensional stability.
Uses:Used to manufacture water meters and other commercial equipment, cable sheaths, mechanical cams, sliding mechanisms, bearings, and other components. It is also suitable for parts requiring good wear resistance, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation.
