Physical Properties:Black pellets of PA66 reinforced with 43% glass fiber, exhibiting high rigidity, high heat resistance, dimensional stability and good electrical insulation. Melting point about 264°C, density about 1.38 g/cm³, lower water absorption than unreinforced PA66.
Uses:Mainly used in electrical/electronic applications and power tools, also suitable for structural parts in automotive, machinery and other fields requiring high strength and heat resistance.
Technical Specifications:
Drying: If the material is sealed before processing, drying is unnecessary; if the container has been opened, dry in hot air at 85°C. If humidity exceeds 0.2%, vacuum dry at 105°C for 12 hours.
Melting temperature: 260–290°C, 275–280°C for glass-reinforced products; avoid exceeding 300°C.
Mold temperature: 80°C recommended; for thin-walled parts, if mold temperature is below 40°C, annealing is required to maintain dimensional stability.
Injection pressure: usually 750–1250 bar, depending on material and product design.
Injection speed: high; slightly lower for reinforced materials. Gate position is important, runner gate diameter not less than 0.5t (t is wall thickness); minimum diameter of submarine gate is 0.75mm.
