Physical Properties:A colorless, odorless, translucent self-sealing thermoplastic film with a thickness of 0.005 in (127 μm). It offers good flexibility and corrosion resistance, stretchable to 3–4 times its original length without breaking, and conforms closely to irregular and wrinkled surfaces. At 21 °C, it can stretch to nearly twice its length. It softens and becomes tacky at 68 °C and is not resistant to high temperatures. It features unique moisture vapor permeability, allowing oxygen and carbon dioxide to pass through while effectively retaining moisture.

Uses:Widely used for sealing laboratory vessels such as test tubes, narrow-mouth bottles, Petri dishes, and beakers, effectively retaining moisture, preventing sample evaporation and contamination, and adapting to irregular and wrinkled surfaces without leakage even when accidentally dropped. It is also used in electron microscopy to pick up floating grids and films from liquid surfaces, as well as in horticultural grafting tape, medical dressing protective covers, and linings for trays and medicine racks.
