Physical Properties:PC-1100 is a bisphenol A polycarbonate, an amorphous, transparent thermoplastic resin. It has a light transmittance of about 88%-90%, a density of about 1.20 g/cm³, and low water absorption. It offers excellent heat resistance, low-temperature impact resistance, dimensional stability, and electrical insulation. It is resistant to dilute inorganic acids, salts, and aliphatic hydrocarbons, but not to strong alkalis, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents.
Uses:Mainly used in electrical/electronic, automotive, office equipment, and household appliance fields, such as junction boxes, sockets, headlamp housings, instrument panels, gears, rails, and power tool handles. It is also used for transparent sheets, protective glazing, optical discs, and medical device housings. Modified PC can be used to make safety helmets, protective face shields, medical consumables, and packaging films.
