Physical Properties:Transparent pellets with a density of approximately 1.2 g/cm³, refractive index of 1.586, and low water absorption. Glass transition temperature is about 147°C, melting temperature is approximately 230–300°C, and heat deflection temperature (1.82 MPa) is about 130°C. Soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbons such as dichloromethane; insoluble in alcohols, ketones, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It offers excellent impact resistance, heat resistance, dimensional stability, and good UV stability.
Uses:This resin is a medium-viscosity, easy-release, UV-stabilized polycarbonate specially developed for safety goggles and other optical protective products. It is suitable for injection molding applications including safety glasses, goggles, face shields, optical lenses, electrical/electronic housings, and automotive parts. This special grade also meets the fire standards UNI 8456, 8457, 9174, and 9175.
