Physical Properties:Colorless to slightly yellow transparent pellets (or sheets), amorphous thermoplastic polymer. Density about 1.18-1.20 g/cm³, refractive index about 1.585, glass transition temperature about 147°C, melting temperature about 230-260°C. Light transmittance up to 88%-90%, water absorption about 0.15%. Insoluble in water, soluble in dichloromethane, chloroform and other halogenated hydrocarbons; stable to dilute acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons and most oxidants, but can be swollen or attacked by alkalis, alcohols and aromatic hydrocarbons.
Uses:PC series polycarbonate resin features high light transmittance and excellent impact strength, and is widely used in CDs, eyeglass lenses, water bottles, bulletproof glass, goggles, bank security glass, headlights and other products. It is also used for pet cages, animal cages and other daily items, as well as engineering plastic fields such as electronic appliances and automotive parts. Injection molding grades are suitable for thin-walled and complex structural parts.
