Physical Properties:PEEK is an aromatic crystalline thermoplastic polymer featuring high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, impact resistance, flame retardancy, acid/alkali resistance, hydrolysis resistance, wear resistance, fatigue resistance, radiation resistance and good electrical properties. It has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 143°C and a melting point (Tm) of 343°C, with a heat deflection temperature under load of 316°C and a transient service temperature up to 300°C. It exhibits excellent self-lubrication and sliding characteristics, outstanding chemical stability (insoluble in most solvents, strong acids and alkalis except concentrated sulfuric acid), self-extinguishing behavior meeting UL 94 V-0, excellent stripping resistance, fatigue resistance, radiation resistance (maintaining good insulation at gamma irradiation dose up to 1100 Mrad), hydrolysis resistance, low smoke generation and low toxic gas emission. It also offers good electrical insulation and superior dimensional stability with low sensitivity to humidity changes.
