Physical Properties:Polyetherimide is an amber transparent or opaque granule with a density of about 1.27~1.30 g/cm³, a glass transition temperature of about 215~220℃, a heat deflection temperature of about 200℃, and a long-term service temperature of 170~180℃. It has low water absorption, excellent flame retardancy (UL94 V-0), and good resistance to most chemicals, but is susceptible to attack by some halogenated solvents and strong acids.
Uses:It is mainly used for high-temperature resistant parts in aerospace, electronics, electrical and automotive industries, such as aircraft interiors, electrical connectors, sensor housings and instrument panels. It can be processed by injection molding and extrusion, and glass fiber reinforced grades provide higher rigidity and dimensional stability.
