Physical Properties:PETG is an amorphous copolyester produced by copolymerizing terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol with 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. It has a light transmittance of 91% and excellent impact toughness, approaching or even exceeding that of polycarbonate. It exhibits good transparency, hardness, chemical resistance, and resistance to stress whitening. The density is approximately 1.27 g/cm³, with a glass transition temperature of about 80°C and a heat deflection temperature of approximately 70°C (at 1.82 MPa). The material meets FDA food-grade standards and can be processed by injection molding, extrusion, and extrusion blow molding.
Uses:Suitable for cosmetic containers, pharmaceutical and medical transparent components, toothbrushes and personal care products, pens and stationery, transparent parts for home appliances, toys, daily necessities, lighting fixtures, blow-molded bottles, transparent pipes and profiles, films, sheets, and plates. Its excellent impact resistance and processability make it a preferred material for structural parts such as plastic wheel cores.
