Physical Properties:A hard and dense material with smooth, glossy surface; light yellow or white, translucent in thin-walled sections; density 1.41-1.43 g/cm³; melting point about 175℃; readily flammable, continues burning after removal from flame, flame yellow at top and blue at bottom, with melting dripping and strong irritating formaldehyde and fishy odor; molding temperature 170-200℃, drying conditions 80-90℃ for 2 hours; service temperature -40℃ to 100℃.
Uses:An engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive properties, possessing good physical, mechanical and chemical properties, especially outstanding friction resistance. Commonly known as Delrin or polyacetal, it is the third largest general-purpose engineering plastic, suitable for making wear-reducing and wear-resistant parts, transmission parts, as well as chemical and instrument parts.
