Physical Properties:Polyphenylene sulfide is a crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastic with excellent thermal stability, chemical resistance, and inherent flame retardancy. It has a density of approximately 1.35 g/cm³ and a melting point of approximately 280°C, with a long-term continuous service temperature of 200-240°C. It is almost insoluble in all common organic solvents at room temperature, with low water absorption and good dimensional stability.
Uses:Used in electronic/electrical, precision instrument, machinery, automotive, and household appliance fields, including microelectronic component encapsulation, coil bobbins, motor housings, relays, trimmer capacitors, computer and timer housings, temperature sensors, pump bodies, pump wheels, valves, fans, flow meter components, flanges, universal joints, igniters, clutches, transmissions, gearboxes, bearing brackets, and exhaust system parts. Also used for protective coatings and components of household appliances such as hair dryers, curling irons, hair straighteners, and rice cookers.
