Physical Properties:PPS is a high-performance thermoplastic resin with high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, chemical resistance, flame retardancy, good thermal stability, and excellent electrical properties. The density of the pure resin is about 1.35 g/cm³, with low water absorption (about 0.02%) and low mold shrinkage. Its heat deflection temperature is generally above 260°C, and its chemical resistance is second only to polytetrafluoroethylene, with flowability second only to nylon.
Uses:PPS is a special engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive performance, widely used in electronic and electrical fields (such as IC sockets, connectors, coil bobbins, and insulating parts), automotive industry (such as engine parts, pump impellers, and sensor components), as well as mechanical and chemical fields (such as bearings, valves, pipes, pump bodies, impellers, and other corrosion-resistant parts). When reinforced with glass fiber or carbon fiber, it can be used in aerospace composite materials and structural components.
