Liquid can pass through the sampler while it is lowered, and the valve closes when it stops to collect a sample at the desired depth. The point sampler is made of nickel-plated brass with a weighted bottom, supplied with a handle and a chain-attached cork, weighing about 2.7 kg. It is available with a 3/4″ (19 mm) opening for light oils or a 1 1/2″ (38 mm) opening for heavy oils. The bottom sampler opens via the bottom plunger when touching the bottom and closes tightly when lifted. Suitable for light crude oil, light lubricating oil, kerosene, gasoline, transparent gas oil, diesel, distillate oil, heavy crude oil, fuel oil, heavy lubricating oil and non-transparent gas oil.
