Physical Properties:Teflon reinforced PC is an engineering plastic modified by compounding polycarbonate with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It features a low friction coefficient, excellent self-lubrication, and wear resistance, while retaining the high impact strength, dimensional stability, and electrical insulation of polycarbonate. It also exhibits good heat resistance, can be used over a wide temperature range, has low water absorption, and offers excellent machinability.
Uses:It is used to manufacture various gears, racks, worms, worm gears, cams, bolts, crankshafts, bearings, sleeves, and other mechanical transmission and structural parts. It is also widely used in dental instruments and medical devices, particularly in applications requiring self-lubrication, low friction, and wear resistance.
