It offers excellent moisture vapor barrier, chemical resistance, high purity, and a non-reactive surface. Low leachables and extractables preserve content stability and quality; being a non-polar substrate, it does not promote adsorption, denaturation, aggregation, or precipitation as glass can. The material is resistant to alcohol, acetone, and acrylates, withstands ethylene oxide and gamma radiation sterilization, and features low moisture absorption, low birefringence, and low dielectric constant. It is free of BPA, phthalates, and halogens, and complies with FDA FCN 405, ISO 10993, and USP Class VI.
Uses:Suitable for healthcare products such as drug delivery systems, pre-filled syringes, vials, cartridges, bottles and tubing, surgical instruments, IV infusion containers and components. Also used in optics, electrical/electronics, laboratory ware, food packaging, fittings, and general engineering applications.
