Radionuclide 68Ge is fixed on the adsorbent and placed in a lead-shielded container, equipped with eluent and elution lines. 68Ga is produced by decay of 68Ge and can be eluted from the column with 0.1 M HCl.
Uses:Used to obtain radionuclide 68Ga from the decay of 68Ge for nuclear medicine diagnostic applications such as positron emission tomography (PET).
