Uses:EPI-001 is an active metabolite of bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE) and acts as a selective inhibitor of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha (PGC-1α). It inhibits the metabolic reprogramming and proliferation of tumor cells by blocking the interaction between PGC-1α and estrogen-related receptor α (ERRα). It is primarily used in cancer biology research such as prostate cancer, and in studies of the ERR/PGC-1α signaling pathway involved in metabolic regulation.
