Physical Properties:PPS is a sulfur-containing aromatic polymer with excellent overall performance, characterized by high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and superior mechanical properties. It has outstanding chemical resistance, with no solvent able to dissolve it below 200°C, and exhibits strong resistance to inorganic acids, alkalis and salts. It also offers excellent radiation resistance (1×10^8 Gy), outstanding flame retardancy (pure PPS has a limiting oxygen index of 44 and passes UL94 V-0 at 0.8 mm thickness), and good electrical insulation properties.
Uses:Centering on excellent heat resistance, PPS also offers self-lubrication, chemical stability, dimensional stability, flame retardancy and electrical insulation. It is mainly used in automotive industry (functional parts, igniters, heaters, thermostats, lamp sockets, bearings, etc.), electronic/electrical products (transformer bobbins, high-frequency coil formers, plugs, sockets, wiring bases, precision parts, etc.) and machinery/chemical industries (pump bodies, valves, bearings, piston rings, gears, pipes, chemical pumps, etc.), and can also be used in special industrial dust removal equipment and motor insulation materials.
