- 无色至淡黄色澄清流动液体，久置后颜色略加深。具有清凉通透的薄荷香气，带微辛胡椒样头香与清甜膏香底韵，香气强劲、扩散性好、持久度高。相对密度(20℃)0.888–0.916，折光指数(20℃)1.451–1.470，旋光度(20℃)−32°～−10°，闪点约70℃。易溶于乙醇、丙二醇、乙醚及大多数非挥发性油，几乎不溶于水。常温稳定，易挥发、易燃，忌高温、强光与强氧化剂。

Physical Properties:A clear mobile liquid, colorless to light yellow, the color deepens slightly on standing. It has a cool, penetrating peppermint aroma with slightly spicy pepper-like top notes and sweet balsamic base notes; the cooling sensation runs through, with strong, diffusive and long-lasting fragrance. Relative density (20°C) 0.888–0.916; refractive index (20°C) 1.451–1.470; optical rotation (20°C) −32° to −10°; flash point approx. 70°C. Easily soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol, diethyl ether and most non-volatile oils; almost insoluble in water. Stable at room temperature, volatile and flammable; avoid high temperature, strong light and strong oxidants.
Uses:Mainly used as a food flavor in chewing gum, hard candy, chocolate, ice cream, cold drinks, soft drinks, toothpaste, mouthwash, tobacco, baked goods and preserved fruits. Also used in daily fragrances and personal care products for refreshing, cooling, antipruritic and deodorizing effects. In pharmaceutical and health applications, it is used as a carminative, to relieve gastrointestinal bloating and cramps, soothe the throat and ease nasal congestion; topically it provides analgesic and anti-itch effects and relieves muscle soreness. It is also used in natural insect repellents, aromatherapy, air fresheners and feed flavorings.
