Physical Properties:EVA is a high-molecular-weight material copolymerized from ethylene and vinyl acetate. It exhibits good softness and rubber-like elasticity, maintaining excellent flexibility, transparency, and surface gloss even at -50°C. It has good chemical stability, strong aging resistance and ozone resistance, and is non-toxic. It shows good compatibility with fillers, colorability, and processability. The polarity of the acetate group increases elasticity and viscosity while decreasing crystallinity and electrical properties. It is soluble in hydrocarbons and oils. Density: approximately 0.94 g/cm³; Melting point: approximately 70°C.
Uses:Widely used in the footwear industry for soles and inner materials of medium-to-high-grade travel shoes, hiking shoes, slippers, and sandals. In the new energy sector, it is used for photovoltaic materials and solar cell adhesives. It is also commonly applied in foamed shoe materials, functional greenhouse films, packaging films, hot-melt adhesives, wire and cable, and toys. Grades with a vinyl acetate content of 20%–28% are mainly used as hot-melt adhesives and coating products.
