Physical Properties:Polyphenylene Sulfide R-4XT is a grayish-brown pellet thermoplastic engineering plastic based on polyphenylene sulfide and reinforced with glass fiber. It has excellent heat resistance with a long-term service temperature above 200°C and a heat deflection temperature of about 260°C. It features a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, outstanding chemical resistance, being almost insoluble in all organic solvents, as well as high mechanical strength, high rigidity, good dimensional stability, and excellent electrical insulation. Density is about 1.6–1.7 g/cm³ and melting temperature is about 280–290°C.

Uses:It is suitable for electrical and electronic applications such as high-voltage components, housings, sockets, terminals, relays, motor components, and Class F insulating films for televisions and computers. In the automotive industry, it can be used for exhaust gas recirculation valves, water pump impellers, carburetors, exhaust devices, headlamp reflectors, bearings, and sensor components. In machinery and chemical fields, it can be made into precision gears, pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, gaskets, and corrosion-resistant parts. It is also used for automotive parts, anti-corrosion coatings, and electrical insulating materials.
