Physical Properties:White to light yellow granules, semi-crystalline polymer. Density 0.92-0.96 g/cm³, melting point 125-135°C. Insoluble in water, soluble in hot aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents. Maleic anhydride grafting ratio about 0.8%-1.5%, melt flow index 1-5 g/10min (190°C, 2.16 kg). The grafted maleic anhydride polar groups impart excellent adhesion and coupling performance to polar materials.
Uses:Used as a polymeric compatibilizer and interfacial coupling agent for modification, blending and toughening of PA, PP, ABS, PVC, PE, PS and other plastics, improving the adhesion of formulations to metals, glass and polar polymers. Suitable for wire and cable masterbatch, wood-plastic composites, hot-melt adhesive films, overmolding TPE, PE multilayer co-extrusion film adhesives and other industries, acting as a binder, coupling agent and compatibilizer. Also used for low-odor PP modification and cable compound modification.
