Physical Properties:White or light yellow granules, density 0.92-0.96 g/cm³, melting point about 100-130°C, insoluble in water, soluble in hot toluene, xylene and other organic solvents. It has excellent low-temperature toughness and thermal stability, and contains maleic anhydride polar groups, showing good compatibility with polar materials.
Uses:Used as a compatibilizer and impact modifier in polymer alloys, it improves the interfacial compatibility of blends of polar polymers such as polyamide with polyethylene, and enhances low-temperature ductility and thermal barrier performance. It is also used to improve adhesion to metals, glass and other materials in formulated products, to make hot-melt adhesive films, and in plastics processing fields such as low-odor PP modification and cable compound modification.
