Physical Properties:Semi-transparent or opaque milky white crystalline polymer with a density of about 1.14 g/cm³, melting point of 215~225°C, and thermal decomposition temperature above 350°C. It exhibits excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication, impact resistance, and chemical resistance, but has relatively high water absorption with a saturated water absorption of about 3%~4%. It is soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, formic acid, and phenolic solvents, and insoluble in alcohols, ethers, ketones, and hydrocarbons.
Uses:As a general-purpose engineering plastic, it is widely used in automotive parts, electronic and electrical components, mechanical gears, bearings, seals, cable sheaths, and textile fibers. It can also be modified or reinforced for industrial products requiring high strength, wear resistance, and self-lubrication.
