Physical Properties:PA12 is a semicrystalline-amorphous thermoplastic polyamide with a density of approximately 1.01–1.04 g/cm³ and a melting point of about 178°C. It has low moisture regain and low water absorption (about 0.25%), giving good dimensional stability. The material exhibits excellent flowability and a mold shrinkage of 0.5%–2.0%. It has a low embrittlement temperature and outstanding weathering resistance, along with good resistance to oils and corrosion, but poor resistance to strong oxidizing acids. This grade is UV-stabilized for prolonged outdoor service. The molecular weight of the repeat unit is 197.32.

Uses:Used in automotive fluid transfer lines, cable sheathing, mechanical cams, sliding mechanisms, bearings, and commercial devices such as water meters. Owing to its excellent weather resistance and dimensional stability, it is also suitable for outdoor communication cables, 3D printing powders, and medical catheters where chemical resistance and biocompatibility are required.
