Physical Properties:Number-average molecular weight approximately 20,000-50,000. White to slightly yellow pellets or powder; density about 1.12-1.15 g/cm³; melting point 215-225°C; thermal decomposition temperature above 300°C; equilibrium water absorption about 3.5%. Resistant to alkalis and most salts, not resistant to strong acids and oxidants; excellent wear resistance and self-lubricating property.

Uses:Mainly used to manufacture fiber products such as tire cord, carpets and socks; also used for mechanical parts such as bearings, gears and pump impellers; and used in daily necessities, engineering materials and electrical insulating materials. Glass-fiber reinforced grades are suitable for high-strength structural components.

Available grades include 73G15L, 73G20L, 73G30T, 73G30HSL and 73GM4, with glass fiber reinforcement contents of about 15%, 20%, 30%, etc.

Tensile strength: about 60-80 MPa for neat PA6, up to 100-180 MPa for reinforced grades.

Flexural strength: about 80-110 MPa for neat PA6, up to 150-250 MPa for reinforced grades.

Heat deflection temperature (1.8 MPa): about 65-75°C for neat PA6, up to 180-220°C for reinforced grades.

Volume resistivity about 10^14 Ω·cm; good electrical insulation.
