Physical Properties:Low melting point with a wide processing temperature range. Impact resistance and solubility are better than Nylon 66, but hygroscopicity is stronger. Shrinkage of unreinforced PA6 is 1%-1.5%, while glass fiber reinforced grades can be reduced to 0.3%-0.8%. Density is about 1.14 g/cm³. It exhibits excellent mechanical strength, stiffness, and good wear resistance.
Uses:Widely used to make structural parts due to its high mechanical strength and rigidity. It is also used to manufacture bearings because of its excellent wear resistance. Additionally, it is used in automotive high-performance reinforced nylon 6 composites for engine peripheral components such as intake manifolds and engine covers.
