Physical Properties:Translucent or opaque off-white granules. The density of the neat resin is approximately 1.12-1.14 g/cm³, with a melting point of 215-225°C. It exhibits high water absorption and is soluble in formic acid and phenol but insoluble in common organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers, and hydrocarbons. It offers excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication, and chemical resistance. Glass fiber reinforcement significantly improves mechanical strength, rigidity, and heat-aging resistance.
Uses:Glass fiber reinforced PA6 is used to manufacture components requiring high rigidity and dimensional stability, such as turn signal switches, automotive mirror frames, and mountain bike wheels. The material exhibits excellent mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and heat resistance, and can replace metal parts or nylon products with embedded metal inserts, including screws and nuts, gears, shaft sleeves, pulleys, sliders, handles, and instrument housings.
