Resistant to acids, bases, most inorganic salt solutions, halogenated hydrocarbons, hydrocarbons, esters, ketones, etc., but easily soluble in polar solvents such as phenol and formic acid. Excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication and high mechanical strength, but relatively high water absorption leading to poor dimensional stability.
