Physical Properties:Amorphous thermoplastic engineering plastic with a density of 1.18~1.22 g/cm³, glass transition temperature of approximately 145~150°C, melting temperature of 220~230°C, heat deflection temperature of 130~140°C (1.82 MPa), and long-term service temperature of -60~120°C. It exhibits excellent impact strength, tensile strength and rigidity, with light transmittance of 88%~90%, refractive index of approximately 1.585, and water absorption of 0.15%~0.25%. It has excellent electrical insulation properties (Class E at 120°C), good fatigue resistance and weathering resistance. The melt features high viscosity and poor fluidity; it is not resistant to chlorinated hydrocarbons, alkalis, amines or ketones, and is soluble in chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents such as dichloromethane and dichloroethane.
Uses:PC 1803 is a flame-retardant, heat-stabilized, reinforced, high-temperature-resistant, high-viscosity grade polycarbonate, widely used in the electronic and electrical field for manufacturing insulating connectors, coil frames, relay housings, LED lamp housings and miner's lamp battery cases. In mechanical equipment, it is used for transmission and structural parts such as gears, racks, worms, bearings and cams. In the automotive industry, it is used for headlamp lenses, instrument panels and protective shields. It is also used in optical lighting equipment, medical devices and protective glazing.
