Physical Properties:POM is a crystalline plastic with a distinct melting point. It melts at 175°C and decomposes at 240°C. The typical processing temperature ranges from 190°C to 220°C. It does not absorb moisture and generally does not require drying before injection molding. It has poor acid resistance, is not resistant to strong alkalis, is not weather-resistant, and is not UV-resistant. Combustion releases a pungent odor of formaldehyde.
Uses:Used to manufacture mechanical parts such as gears, springs, bearings, bushings, connecting rods, impellers, and blades. Widely applied in electronics, electrical appliances, and automotive fields, as well as for cams and mechanical parts in audio/video equipment.
