Physical Properties:Polyacetal resin is a linear polymer with no side chains, high density, and high crystallinity. It appears as white or black pellets with high hardness, high rigidity, and excellent wear resistance. Density is approximately 1.41 g/cm³, melting point is about 175°C, and water absorption is low (approximately 0.2%). It exhibits outstanding resistance to organic solvents and oils, excellent electrical insulation, but poor resistance to strong acids and relatively high molding shrinkage.
Uses:Suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant and friction-reducing parts, transmission parts, gears, bearings, automotive components, machine tool parts, and instrument internals. In the automotive industry, it is used for pumps, carburetor parts, fuel pipes, and motor gears; in electronics and electrical appliances, for relays and washing machine parts; also used in precision instruments, zippers, pen barrels, and other consumer goods.
