Physical Properties:Typically supplied as translucent to ivory granules with a density of about 1.15–1.25 g/cm³. It is insoluble in water and resistant to oils, lubricants and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents. It offers high elasticity, high mechanical strength, excellent flexural fatigue resistance and high energy absorption, along with good thermal stability and a wide service temperature range (-35 to -50°C low temperature, up to 150°C high temperature). It features good wear and ageing resistance, low long-term compression set, self-lubricating properties and noise damping. Its ageing resistance is superior to TPU, TPR/TPE.
Uses:It is widely used in the automotive industry (CVJ dust boots, steering gear boots, shock absorber sleeves, bellows, airbag covers, low-noise gears, etc.) and in electronics/electrical applications (wire/cable sheaths, elastic keypads, low-noise gears, and alloying with polar plastics such as PC, PVC, ABS, PBT and PET). In industrial and consumer goods, it is used for seals, conveyor belts, high-pressure gaskets, ski bindings, spectacle temple tips, luggage accessories and similar items. Foamable grades are suitable for producing foams, films, sheets, hoses, pipes, filaments and wire/cable products by extrusion and injection moulding.
