Physical Properties:PA6 is hygroscopic and has low density with excellent overall properties: high tensile strength, good impact performance, high heat deflection temperature, good heat resistance, low friction coefficient, good wear resistance, self-lubricating, and excellent oil and chemical resistance. It is easy to mold, thermally insulating, and offers great design freedom. Melting temperature is 230-280°C (250-280°C for reinforced grades); shrinkage rate is 1%-1.5%, which can be reduced to 0.2%-1% with glass fiber reinforcement. Thorough drying is required before processing: if moisture content exceeds 0.2%, dry in hot air above 80°C for 16 hours; if exposed to air for over 8 hours, vacuum dry at 105°C for more than 8 hours. This grade is flame retardant.
Uses:Widely used in automotive parts such as radiator tanks, front grilles, heater boxes, fan blades, gears, air filter housings, intake manifolds, control switches, vacuum connecting tubes, airbags, electrical instrument housings, pump impellers, bearings, bushings, valve seats, and door handles. Also used in mechanical components including bearings, gears, pulleys, pump impellers, seals, gaskets, high-pressure sealing rings, oil-resistant containers, and cable sheaths. This flame-retardant grade is suitable for electrical, electronic, and automotive applications requiring fire safety.
